who am I?

I was born in Pakistan, have lived on four continents and speak five languages. My experiences have taught me to adapt to a variety of experiences, work with people from many walks of life and find solutions. For as long as I can remember I have felt passionately about social and environmental justice.

I have over two decades of experience in social justice movements - in academia as a researcher and lecturer and in the non-profit sector, as an advocate for survivors of gender-based violence and immigrant communities. I have spent the last decade in non-profit management. I have experience being on the front lines of service provision, working collaboratively with groups and thinking strategically to achieve big picture systemic change.

Those close to me describe me as warm, friendly and insightful. Those I work with say I am organized, strategic and supportive.
